Consejos para aprenderlos
- Del 13 al 19 terminan en -teen (thirteen, fourteen…). Las decenas del 20 al 90 terminan en -ty (twenty, thirty…). Cuidado: thirteen (13) y thirty (30) suenan parecido; en -teen el acento va al final.
- Para formar 21, 35 o 99 se une la decena y la unidad con un guion: twenty-one, thirty-five, ninety-nine.
- En inglés británico se dice «one hundred and five»; en el americano también se usa sin «and»: «one hundred five».
- Los ordinales se usan para fechas: «May first» (1 de mayo), «my third time» (mi tercera vez).
